        This Volunteer Service is intended for adults only , that want to give back to the community or those that are seeking hours for further Educations programs , College students that are required to obtain hours of Community Service in their field of studies. Your opportunity as a volunteer will include a variety of duties, assignments and allow limited opportunities working with kids and seniors registered in our activities/programs. 

This is a great Opportunity for Parents, Siblings , Grand-parents and other members of the Community that would like to make a difference  .Come join in the fun with crafts , field trips, outdoor activities and more. Season Dates: April 18 - May 9, 2026

Practice: Saturdays, April 18 - May 9, 2026 at Sycamore Park Tee Ball fields @ 9 AM

Games: Saturdays, April 18-May 9, 2026 at Sycamore Park Tee Ball fields @ 10 AM

Practices and games are once a week on Saturdays. The season lasts for four weeks and games are played at the Sycamore Park Tee Ball Fields 6 & 7 (2525 E. Rosedale Fort Worth, TX 76105).

IMPORTANT: Coaches are required to have a completed volunteer profile, must pass a background check (including CFW employees), complete coaches development courses, as well as, a Sex Offender search. Also, coaches are required to be at practices and games.   

Know how to play Flag Football? Then we need YOU!! We are looking for passionate people to join our Volunteer Sports Coach team for the upcoming Spring 2026 Flag Football season!!!

Season Dates: March 28-May 9, 2026

Camp Date: Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Gateway Park Synthetic Fields

Game Dates: Saturdays, April 4-May 9, 2026 at Gateway Park Synthetic Fields

Practices are once a week, and games are on Saturdays, ranging from 9 AM - 2 PM. The season lasts for seven weeks and games are played at Gateway Park Synthetic Fields.

IMPORTANT: Coaches are required to have a completed volunteer profile, must pass a background check (including CFW employees), complete coaches development courses, as well as, a Sex Offender search. Also, coaches are required to be at practices and games.   

Volunteers who have an interest in training teen attorneys are preferred to have training or experience in the judicial/legal field. Trainers will facilitate initial and on going training  for teen attorneys.  Trainers will also assist teen attorneys in preparing cases for hearings.  

**Adult volunteer opportunity**

The front desk clerk will be responsible for checking in participants, teen attorneys, jurors and adult volunteers. Front desk clerk will also check-out participants, ensure that they have all necessary paperwork and monitor participants in the waiting area. 

**Adult volunteer opportunity**

Tribunals hearings consist of an adult facilitator and 3-6 member teen jury panel.  The participants pleads their case before the jury and the jury questions the participant.  The jury will decide the number of community service hours to be assigned.  Adult facilitators will maintain order during the hearing, encourage jury members to listen and ask questions, offer guidance when appropriate, complete teen court paperwork based on the outcome of the hearing. 

**Adult volunteers opportunity**

Volunteers who have an interest in judging teen court hearings are preferred to have training or experience in the judicial/legal field.  Judges will preside over the teen court hearings providing guidance to teen attorneys and jurors.

Jury Monitor/ Floater/ Bailiff volunteers will monitor teen attorneys during case preparation, call cases for hearings, review teen court forms with participants following hearings, assign jurors and facilitate jury deliberation.

Youth may need assistance obtaining more Community Service hours. This position will assist youth in processing different surveys or worksheets and grading papers which may have reading material and questions for the youth to answer and complete, in order to receive full credit (typically 10 CS Hours) for community service hours on Teen Court Night.

Join us for an event event that is made to celebrate and give back to the mothers in our community! This event will be happening Saturday, May 9th, from 10am-12pm. We will be needing help from 9am-1pm. We will be serving tea and light refreshments, having a side room watching kids, giving away multiple door prizes and playing bingo!

Pickleball Volunteer Coach for youth and adults.

Art Show volunteers play a key role in creating a welcoming and engaging experience for visitors, artist, and organizers. Responsibilities typically include greeting guests, assisting with event setup and breakdown.  We will also have a Mother's Day Photo shoot available for the community.  

Join us for our Home Starts Here adoption event at Hollywood Feed (West 7th) and help bring this event to life for our shelter pets.

We’re looking for fosters to bring their foster pets and help showcase them in a community setting, as well as volunteers to assist with handling shelter dogs, supporting meet-and-greets, and creating a positive experience for potential adopters.

Events like this give our pets a chance to get out of the shelter, decompress, and connect—helping them show their true personalities.

If your offense includes theft, violence, sexual assault, or a weapon, you are not eligible for our program.  You must contact your probation officer or attorney for a new program.

You are not approved to start court-ordered community service until you receive an approval letter from the City of Fort Worth staff. You must have the approval letter to begin community service at any City of Fort Worth community center. It is your responsibility to contact the community centers and coordinate if and when they have availability for community service.

This is a volunteer opportunity for students in a college preparatory program in Middle or High school to obtain hours of service. You will be involved in a multitude of activities assisting with kids in our After School Program and or Summer Camp, general cleaning of the facility and some clerical duties and organizing supplies. Schedules are flexible throughout the week and on Saturdays.

We are looking for passionate people to join our Volunteer Sports Coach team and help make a difference in our community in a child's life!! Volunteer coaches are needed for the upcoming Summer 2026 Recreational Volleyball Season!

Season Dates: June 6 - July 25, 2026

Camp: Saturday, June 6, 2026

Games: Saturdays, June 13 - July 25, 2026 (No games on June 20th or July 4th)

If you're excited about getting involved with the City of Fort Worth Youth Sports Division but coaching isn't your thing, we'd love for you to join us as a Volunteer! Just sign up here!!  

Minor Volunteers will need a thumbs-up from a parent, along with completing the Volunteer application and uploading a headshot photograph, but, there’s no background check needed. For our awesome Adult Volunteers, please complete the application which includes uploading a headshot photograph, as well as, completing the Background Check Form and getting cleared.

Ariat Boot Trot 5K/3K Fun Run. Participants will weave their way through one of the most historic western districts in the world, and upon completion, be met with a commemorative medal to celebrate their journey. The overall male, female and junior finisher in both the 5K and 3K will also receive a pair of Ariat boots, and other prizes.

Types of Foster Opportunities

Transport Fostering

Make a life-changing impact in just a short amount of time! This program supports pets selected for our out-of-state transport program, where they’re headed to areas with a greater demand for adoptable animals. Many of these pets already have adoptive families eagerly waiting for them! As a transport foster, you provide a temporary home, ensuring they’re healthy, happy, and ready for their journey. Your role is vital to the success of this incredible program, and it’s a rewarding way to save lives in a short-term commitment.

Traditional Fostering

Provide a safe, nurturing environment for shelter pets awaiting their forever homes. Traditional fosters care for pets of all ages, sizes, and needs. Whether it’s a shy dog needing socialization, a cat recovering from minor medical care, or a playful puppy waiting to grow strong enough for adoption, you’re giving them the gift of stability and love.

Puppies and Kittens, (Including Bottle Babies)

Help our youngest and most vulnerable residents! Caring for puppies and kittens, especially bottle-fed babies, is a rewarding experience. These tiny lives depend on foster homes for round-the-clock care, socialization, and a safe place to grow.

If you wish to join Fort Worth CERT, please register for this opportunity.  The CERT program requires volunteers to apply to join CERT followed by a background check.  Once you click register below, it will pop up a page that will ask a few questions.  After you answer, it will notify me that you are interested in joining Fort Worth CERT.  I will email you an application page for you to fill out and email back.  If you are accepted, the next step will be to pass a background check.  Upon the return of an approved background check, you will then be accepted into the program.

Help the Community Risk Reduction team spread fire safety awareness! We will need help with passing out/creating goodie bags as well as taking children through and resetting our fire obstacle course! Want to restore locally endangered Fort Worth Prairie habitat? Join us for volunteer workdays and natural history hikes at Oakmont Park.

Background: The City of Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department is partnering with the Fort Worth chapter of Native Prairies Association of Texas (FW-NPAT) to restore Fort Worth Prairie habitat on the Oakmont Park hill overlooking the Clear Fork of the Trinity River. FW-NPAT team leaders received funding from Constellation Energy via a grant to the North Central Texas chapter of Native Plant Society of Texas.

Event Setup, recruiting volunteers, admin duties

Volunteer with a youth tennis program for children ages 5–12, assisting coaches with drills, teaching basic tennis skills, and helping create a fun and supportive environment for young players to learn the game.

The Fitness Instructor leads engaging and inclusive exercise classes that promote health, wellness, and confidence within the community. This volunteer creates a positive and motivating environment while guiding participants through safe and effective workouts.

Responsibilities may include:

Leading group fitness classes such as dance, Zumba-style workouts, strength training, or other exercise sessions

Demonstrating proper form and technique to help participants exercise safely

Encouraging and motivating participants of different fitness levels

Planning simple, fun, and effective workout routines

Creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all participants

Communicating with staff about class needs, schedules, and equipment

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fitness, has a passion for helping others stay active, and can bring energy and positivity to group exercise sessions.

The Center Hero helps care for and maintain our space so it remains welcoming, organized, and functional for everyone who visits. This volunteer supports light maintenance tasks, creative improvement projects, and general organization around the center.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs

Helping with craft or DIY projects that improve the space

Organizing supplies, storage areas, and shared spaces

Supporting simple beautification or decorating projects

Assisting staff with small facility-related tasks as needed

Helping keep the center clean, safe, and welcoming for the community

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying organized, and contributing creatively to a shared community space.

This is a group of Texas Wesleyan University students who assist with our After-School Program.

The Fort Worth Code Blue Citizens on Patrol (COPS) program provides additional eyes and ears to the Fort Worth Police Department by training citizen volunteers to observe and report criminal activity. Trained COPS volunteers are assigned radios and given vehicle signs before patrolling their neighborhoods in their own vehicles, walking, or riding their bicycles. Additionally, COPS members participate in on-going training and activities such as assisting with training new police recruits at the police academy and working directly with police officers during special details.

The work performed by these individuals would include but is not limited to picking the driving range with the use of a motorized cart, being out of the golf course as ambassadors to the golfers ensuring they are following the golf course rules of play, pulling carts for daily play, rotating carts, washing carts and returning them to cart barn, and sanding divots on golf course.  Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of 8 hours per week in one day or split into two days.

Come spend time with our Senior Citizens.  Looking for any educational programs, bingo callers, fitness instructors, or anyone wanting to cook and fellowship with our most enthusiastic patrons. 

Become a valued volunteer at our community center! Volunteers will help with general upkeep and support during special programs and events throughout the year.

You are not approved to start court-ordered community service until you receive an approval letter from the City of Fort Worth staff. You must have the approval letter to begin community service at any City of Fort Worth community center. It is your responsibility to contact the community centers and coordinate if and when they have availability for community service.

Before registering for this opportunity, be sure you have contacted texasstreamteam@fortworthtexas.gov and been assigned an approved Monitoring Site and Standard Core Kit location. 

Please monitor your assigned Site(s) monthly at the same time of day each month, for a one year commitment. For example: a possible monitoring schedule could be the first Sunday of each month at 10:00 am. Adherence to a consistent monitoring time is crucial because the physical and chemical parameters fluctuate over a 24-hour period. Monitoring takes approximately one to two hours per month per site *be sure to include your travel time in your total hours. 

Remember to check-out your assigned kit and return it within 3-4 days to ensure other citizen scientists also have access. 

Equipment Needed to Complete Monitoring:

Be sure to dress weather appropriate and be safe while sampling. Thank you for your contributions towards protecting Texas' natural resources!

Provided volunteer support for senior citizens by helping pass out lunches and organizing arts and crafts sessions to encourage social engagement.

Highland Hills Community Center is seeking volunteers to assist with a community food distribution in partnership with Tarrant Area Food Bank. Volunteers will help bag food items and distribute them to members of the public in a welcoming and respectful manner. This opportunity is a great way to support local families, fight food insecurity, and make a direct impact in the community. Tasks may include assembling food bags, loading and unloading items, and handing out food to guests. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to help and a positive attitude.

Want to volunteer in your community? Our center volunteers are an integral part of our center and get to focus on helping with daily operations, After school, Summer Camp, and any other special programs or events we may be having.

The First Thursday of every month for Handley Meadowbrook, is our Senior Share food distribution program. We need your help to pack, distribute, and carry a free bag of groceries to all community members who come in.
