Who We Are
The Fort Worth Nature Center is over 3600 acres of wild Texas- a living classroom of forests, prairies, and wetlands along the West Fork of the Trinity River. As one of the largest city-owned nature centers in the country, it protects wildlife and offers visitors a chance to reconnect with nature just minutes from downtown.
What We Do
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. They help restore trails, create habitats, care for animals, assist visitors on guided hikes and paddling trips, and share their passion for conservation through education and outreach. Whether you enjoy working outdoors, teaching others, or lending a hand behind the scenes, volunteers make it possible to keep this refuge thriving for future generations.
