Fort Worth Animal Care & Control Volunteer Program is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of animals in our shelter through compassionate care. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for every animal while actively engaging with the community to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Through education and outreach initiatives we strive to foster a culture of empathy and respect for all animals, ensuring a positive and impactful change both within our shelter and throughout Fort Worth.
We are thrilled you're considering volunteering at the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control (FWACC)!
Helping animals is deeply rewarding, though it can present challenges. We hope this becomes a long-term partnership as we work together to find loving homes for our pets.
As an FWACC volunteer, you'll contribute to our mission of providing humane and compassionate care. Your support will be invaluable as we strive to make FWACC a welcoming and fulfilling place for both animals and volunteers.
Possible volunteer roles include:
- Animal Care: Walking dogs, enrichment prep/clean-up, cleaning kennels
- Public Education: Promoting responsible pet ownership
- Community Outreach: Assisting citizens, participating in special events
- Animal Networking: Pet photography, social media promotion
We believe this experience will be both rewarding for you and essential for the animals in our care!
