New Year, New Friend Adoption Event at City Hall  

Location: Fort Worth City Hall
Date: January 21st

We are seeking approved volunteers to transport and handle shelter pets at our City Hall Adoption Event. Volunteers will play a vital role in helping shelter animals meet potential adopters in a calm, welcoming environment.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

• Transport an approved shelter pet to and from City Hall

• Handle and supervise the animal throughout the event

• Provide basic information about the pet to the public

• Ensure the animal’s comfort, safety, and positive presentation

• Represent Fort Worth Animal Care & Control professionally

Important Information:

• Volunteers must email fwaccevents@fortworthtexas.gov if they have a specific shelter pet they are interested in bringing.

• All animals must be approved in advance for participation.

• Animal assignments are not guaranteed and are subject to temperament, health, and event suitability.

• Event staff will confirm assignments and provide event-specific instructions prior to the event.
