Join us this May for our Fetch a Friend Adoption Event at Lowe’s, where shelter pets are ready to meet their perfect match! We’re looking for both volunteers and fosters to help make this event a success by bringing adoptable pets, connecting with potential adopters, and sharing the impact of fostering and volunteering in our community.
Volunteers are invited to bring a shelter pet to the event and must email fwaccevents@fortworthtexas.gov in advance to verify that the pet they would like to bring is eligible to attend. Fosters are encouraged to bring their foster pets out for exposure, helping them shine in a new environment and increasing their chances of finding a forever home.
These events play a huge role in proactive placement by giving pets more visibility, allowing them to show their true personalities outside of the shelter, and connecting them directly with adopters.
