You are not approved to start court-ordered community service until you receive an approval letter from the City of Fort Worth staff. You must have the approval letter to begin community service at any City of Fort Worth community center.
Community Service Key Points:
- You will typically be doing janitorial work, so dress appropriately but still maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Act professionally and represent the City of Fort Worth well
- If you do not meet the standards, staff can ask you to leave
- Always sign in and sign out to ensure you get credit for your hours. Center staff will log your hours in the system.
- Never be alone in a room with a child ( to protect yourself)
- Create a consistent schedule; We recommend three to four hours a day
