(North Animal Campus) Laundry & Dishes  

Responsibilities

• Laundry Role: 

• Check with staff to see if linens or blankets need collection

• Wash, dry, and fold linens (blankets, towels, etc.) following staff instructions

• Return clean linens to storage or animal pods

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas

• Follow safety and sanitization protocols

• Dish Role: 

• Check with staff to determine if dishes and enrichment items need collection

• Thoroughly clean all bowls and enrichment items with hot, soapy water

• Sanitize items to ensure thorough disinfection

• Return sanitized items to the appropriate animal pods

• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

• Improve the health, comfort, and dignity of shelter pets

• Lighten staff workload, allowing focus on urgent animal needs

Volunteer duties, access and privileges are only valid for the duration of the assigned shift in which they have chosen on the on-line volunteer scheduling system. There is a 15-minute grace period before and after each shift so that the volunteer may prepare and/or end their volunteer assignments
