As a Pet Profile Volunteer, you’ll help capture the personality and behavior of cats and dogs through photos, notes, and observations. This role ensures that each pet’s profile is up-to-date, accurate, and engaging for potential adopters.
Who We’re Looking For
This role is ideal for volunteers who:
Are comfortable handling cats and dogs
Have a good eye for photography or writing
Can observe and record animal behavior accurately
Are detail-oriented and reliable
Enjoy helping animals get noticed and adopted
Responsibilities – Shift Times Vary
Take updated photos of cats and dogs in playrooms, on walks, or in the adoption center
Record behavioral information, including commands known, leash manners, and interactions
Work with staff to maintain accurate profiles for potential adopters

PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center Staff member. Activities within this opportunity will be based on the needs of the center.
General Expectations
Check in with the PetSmart Everyday Adoption Center Staff member before each shift
Follow posted yard or room assignments
Handle only one animal at a time; leash properly and latch gates securely
Wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes and follow all safety practices

Volunteer duties, access and privileges are only valid for the duration of the assigned shift in which they have chosen on the on-line volunteer scheduling system. There is a 15-minute grace period before and after each shift so that the volunteer may prepare and/or end their volunteer assignments.
