The School Green Teams program focuses on teaching students the importance of sustainability and taking care of the environment. A team is made up of someone 18 years or older and at least one student. The team will compete with other School Green Teams across Fort Worth for the school year by completing activities from an activity page provided by the KFWB team. Each activity is worth points and the team with the most points at the end of the school year wins a prize. Teams can submit their progress on the School Green Teams webpage to accumulate points.
Examples of Activities:
- Lead 8 Litter Pickups at your school - 250 points
- Make or Maintain a Pollinator Garden - 100 Points
- Host an American Recycles Day Event - 50 Points
- Nature Walk - 25 Points
There are activities for every age group. All public, private, charter, and homeschools are encouraged to sign up.
