This partnership with FWISD and their students allows them to gain work knowledge within our community centers. Students are guided by center staff and FWISD teachers to assist with cleaning and organizing our centers. This 'hands-on' approach allows the students to learn skills within an actual working environment. Upon completion of 24 volunteer hours, the student will receive their 'Gold' membership that can be used at any of our community centers.
Students perform a variety of janitorial tasks including:
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Window Cleaning
- Vacuuming
- Dusting
- Trash Removal
- Bathroom Maintenance
- Disinfecting
- Room setup/breakdown
